It is interesting to note that many herbs and spices contain amazing healing qualities. Turmeric, ginger and oregano have wonderful anti-inflammatory properties that are great for gut health.
Collagen is also a marvel in this area, so I have added it to my DIY Mexican Spice Mix incorporating some of these herbs and spices that you can prepare anytime and store in your own glass container. You will be ready for Taco Tuesday or Friday Fajitas any day of the week avoiding commercial Mexican spice blends that come in make-at-home kits that are often high in sodium and artificial flavours.
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/2 flaked sea salt
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp pure be. Health Collagen
Store in a glass airtight container for up to 4 weeks and stir up a batch of margaritas.
